Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone!

I head back to New York tonight. The first week wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be. I survived! Still not excited about going back - but it will be fine. I am now most dreading the possibility of being delayed at the airport :(

So, Easter was good - we visited all the relatives. I wanted to get some nice pictures - but Brooke just was not in the mood! But here are a few...

Taking a juice break from all the Easter excitement

Nice weather (for a moment)

We had two whole days that reached 60. It was almost unreal after all the below freezing temps and inches upon inches of snow we have gotten this winter! Now its back to the upper 30's but it seems maybe we will stay above freezing now. I think this week is has highs in the 40s.

So, Kevin has put on his "spring" hat and started cleaning out the garage and putting the snow-blower away and he brought out a couple of toys for Brooke. We all spent the evening outside - without a coat - it was very nice.

We bought this Little Tykes car at a garage sale for $2 last summer. And she loves it! She spent the evening getting in and out and in and out and playing with the steering wheel. Can't wait until we get some more warmer days. Its was so nice to spend time outside.

As for me, I went to the doctor a few days ago. I only gained 2.7 pounds in 3 1/2 weeks - so I am doing much better! One pound a week now is normal so anything at or below that is good. I guess trading in the donuts every morning for breakfast and switching to oatmeal and fruit really helped! Now I will be in New York for two weeks. Forced to eat out every meal - so I hope I can maintain my goals!

22 weeks and counting!

We had our ultrasound for baby #2 completed a week ago after two tries. We first went in on Valentine's Day to get it done, but they could get all the views they needed of the heart and spine because the little baby was curled in a ball and would not move! So, they finished it up when I went back last week for my appointment. All looks great! And no - we did not give in and find out the sex - so you can all keep guessing!!

Here are a couple of pictures of me - in all my baby glory - at 22 weeks. (and by glory I mean no make-up w/ dark circles under my eyes - I had a migraine all day!). Overall I have gained 10 pounds which is right where I should be in total. However, I gained 6 of those pounds in the past 4 weeks!!! So, the doctor says "everything is perfect" but I just don't want to gain 6 pounds every remaining month!!! So, I am trying to prevent that - but its hard when all I crave is SUGAR! My next appointment will be March 13th - so hopefully I will have done better!

Screaming!

Well Brooke has a new way to communicate - by screaming! It's hard to be mad at her for it because she screams, then looks at you and gives you a big smile! She is truly just trying to "talk" to us. It is pretty cute...however, you can imagine sometimes its just not appropriate (in restaurants) or sometimes she just goes on and on!

So, I am sharing a couple of short videos with you so you can also experience this great new "milestone"!

Happy Scream...

The actual video "footage" is not great at all. Mostly the camera twirling around. But you get a better audio on the screaming!

Baby Brooke

I love this picture because my "toddler" looks like a little baby! This was her bouncy seat when she was a baby. The other night I pulled it out because I remembered it was also to be used as a toddler rocker. But look how little she looks in it! I love it! But she loves the seat. She climbs in and out of it and rocks and smiles. She can use the rocker up until 40 pounds - so when she is like 10!!

Although Brooke does love her toddler rocker, she also loves daddies rocker. Especially when she gets to play with the remote!!

This is the cutest bottom. However, about 2 minutes after I took this picture, Brooke pooped on the floor! That was not so cute! In my defense, we had her diaper off before her bath because she had a diaper rash and we wanted to air it out. Apparently it wasn't the best idea!

Dancing with Elmo!

Loving her ride on lion. It plays music too. She really only knows how to go backwards, but she loves it all the same!

Just a really cute picture!!!
